Yes!

Ali is only licensed with the state of Colorado. As such, she can only provide services to those who live and are physically in the state of Colorado during their appointment.

Additionally, Ali cannot send medication prescriptions across state lines. If you are traveling and forgot your medication in CO then you can let Ali know a pharmacy in the state your in that matches a CO pharmacy (ex. CVS to CVS). Once the script is sent you can call the pharmacy and have it transferred to the one in your current state.

The vast majority of clients prefer virtual visits, and truthfully, so do I.

Studies show that it is just as effective as in person care, and it is even more convenient.

Ali uses a secure, HIPAA compliant Zoom platform for your telehealth visits.

I only see adults - those age 18-65.

I believe in practicing within my scope of medicine. I only have formal training in adult psychiatry and as such I prefer not to treat children/teens and elderly.

I specialize in women's mental health - particularly perinatal mental health (those trying to conceive, pregnant, or postpartum).

Empowerment Mental Health is a fully telehealth company. As such, Ali does not have the capacity to provide controlled substance medications such as stimulants, benzodiazepines or hypnotics to abide by the Ryan Haight Act.

There are circumstances where we will coordinate care with your primary care or specialty provider who manages those medications.

1. Please click here. This will bring you to the appointment scheduler to book your psychiatric evaluation.

2. After booking you will receive an intake packet. Please complete the intake packet at least 72 hours prior to your psychiatric evaluation to confirm you are appropriate for our level of care or you will be asked to reschedule.

3. Once you have completed the intake packet your appointment will be confirmed and you will be invited to the client portal.

The initial evaluation will establish if Empowerment Mental Health is the right level of care for you.

It is possible Ali may recommend for you to see an in-person provider or consider a higher level of care such as inpatient, partial hospitalization program (PHP), or intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Yes!

Empowerment Mental Health is currently accepting and in network with Cigna, United (Optum/UMR), Aetna, and Anthem BCBS insurance payors as well as self-pay.

Private pay and copays for services are charged to your card on file the day of your scheduled appointment. Claims being run through your insurance may take a few weeks to be processed if there is a remaining amount that was not covered such as for a plan with a deductible. We are happy to provide you with a receipt of service for your appointment, as some insurance plans provide out-of-network reimbursement.

We cannot work with clients who have active Medicaid.

We are happy to provide an itemized receipt with appropriate billing information called a super bill if you wish to file for reimbursement for any out-of-network insurance benefits.

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please reschedule through the portal at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment time.

Late cancellations (within 24 hrs of appointment) will be charged a $100 fee to your card on file. 

Ali will hold your appointment for 10 mins.

After 10 mins you will be marked a no show and you will be charged a $100 fee to your card on file.
